Potassium Thio-platinate, K₂Pt₄S₆

Potassium Thio-platinate, K₂Pt₄S₆, is a crystalline powder obtained by heating together platinum sponge and six times its weight of a mixture of equal parts of sulphur and potassium carbonate. Density 6.44 at 15° C.

The Sodium salt, Na₂Pt₄S₆, has also been described.
